May. 2nd, 2005 04:50 pmHmm, let's see what's been happening . . .
I've been getting along with Katie better. I drove her home today and she asked "Who do you hate at Steller?"
"Uhh, well . . . Who do you hate?"
"I don't really hate anyone but there is this one girl. Erin, this little red-headed . . ." Ahh, I can feel the bonding. We bitched about Erin for the rest of the driver and even continued it in the office. Since I haven't seen much of her this past quarter (the most I've seen her is in Junior class meetings but since she's not the leader - and she knows it - she's been tolerable with only a few spikes into 'shut the f*ck up'). Surprisingly we actually got along fairly well for a few weeks just after/before Spring Break. Mind you that was probably because Anthea, Erin, and I didn't talk during that time. Instead we sat in companiable silence doing homework. It's genuinely bizarre but she seems to breed dislike (in women most especially). I think, I don't know about the others I know who dislike her, but I think we conflict because the rest of us are dominants, we tend to take charge but we can converse freely with each other, typically without incident, however Erin either is a dominant who's worried she's a submissive or else she's a submissive who wants to be a dominant. Either way she feels like one of those small yapper dogs who believe themselves to be pit bulls, if she realized she didn't need to bark so much she'd be fine.
Yet again I failed to get together with Sierra last week. However we did have a happy time spouting french to each other across cyber space. She makes it a sport to see how fast and how often she can make me blush, and I just have fun trying to keep up (if you've read the books think Anita and Jean-Claude).
What else . . .
I saw 'Pyrates!' and 'Hitchiker's' this weekend. Pyrates was fun, seeing Block as a Chinese Pirate and Cody as a hot blooded (read angry and horny) young Irishman was very fun. I knew tons of people in it, plus it was written by Wayne Mitchell so it had plenty of subtle (and not so subtle) dirty jokes.
Hitchiker was good, not great but certainly worth seeing it again, with more friends the better. I loved the beginning, Anthea got kind of annoyed with me because I kept wanting to tell her spoilers that she didn't want to hear, I am sorry that I didn't know to quit it's just I had it in my head and I wanted to share the goodness that was dolphins singing a Broadway show tune entitled "So Long and Thanks for All the Fish"! It was lovely. The cheery announcer voices for the Guide and the Heart of Gold's computer were most amusing. (Long live the Point-of-View Gun!)
I'm getting really sick with my Junior class. We met on Friday (this Saturday is the Prom) and by the time I got there at a quarter after three they'd spray painted the bells and decided the flowers and decorations we'd found in the storage closet were too ugly to work. After some very short discussion about the caterer the meeting deteriorated into talks of 'I can't meet on Monday' and 'What are you doing with your hair?'. We don't have ANYTHING finalized for this Saturday (except for the location) and they are talking about their HAIR! Next year I either need to be president or to not be involved at all. I sound a little control-freakish but I wanted this taken care of back in November and it pisses me off that they let it wait this long, I was comforted in the fact that even though they didn't want me on the committee then at least they were getting it done in my stead. A month ago we were talking about 'Themes'. Oh the pain!
Anything else . . . Sitka's coming, that's a good thing, hopefully I will live long enough to enjoy it. Oh, note to self: Must try every last shred of persuasion
(black-mail if necessary) to get Sierra and Ernie to come next year.
I'm not sure the Westies want me around, they seem to tolerate my presence but otherwise none of them (including Cody) seem to want anything to do with me.
Yay! Harry Potter 6! Woot, it is coming and all shall be well.
That's enough slacking, I have work I ought to be getting to.
Oh, one last things. I apparently suffer from severe white man's skin. I act like I'm allergic to the sun (I get red splotches on my hands going up my arms it's not icky or anything, it just doesn't look pretty and itches like hell). Apparently this is because I'm not tolerant to lots of sunshine. I either need to start going out and trying to build up a resistance or become a DnD geek, drooling in dark closets, my eyes transforming from their current hazel into red with snake-slits. That actually sounds kinda interesting if it didn't guarantee that I would never get laid or smell nice for the rest of my life.
Now I really do have to go.
Love you ~J
