Last night was the 2nd 'annual' drag dance at Steller. It was a bit boring, we didn't have as good a turn out as last year but still it wasn't bad. Milo, Sierra, and Cody all missed (which made me very sad and disappointed in them but hopefully they all had fun at their birthday/foam parties (respectivley) and play). I did have one guest show up, I'd signed up so many people that I had to get Tony G. to sign him up but - Gavin showed up (he was in the play with me). He looked cute in his little skirt but a bit too butch to pull it off, I did however instruct him how to sit in a skirt and that girls move their hips more. We spent a lot of time talking, mainly about him but it was interesting, I like him but with a strange sort of sisterly affection. Well, except for one thing that isn't sisterly, we were at Drummond's (another guy with the play), and we were both kinda sleepy so while lounging on this really nice carpet I looked over and he has the hips of a girl, at least while lying down, weird. (Boring yes but I thought it was strange and oddly endearing).
There was this one thing though - a guy at school (as in Steller) JG, I've always found him kinda slow and obnoxious and way too macho man, except occasionally he wears pink and last night he was behaving extremley gay. He got Gavin to slow dance with him a few times and seeing him belt out "It's Raining Men" AND knowing all the words was a bit of an eyeopener. I did however get a little pissed at that, Gavin didn't look upset but he didn't look like he enjoyed it either so I'll have to watch it if I bring him to anymore dances.
Oh, that was one thing. Steller is by far a more - accepting place as far as sexuality goes (the students anyway, not the teachers) but last night everyone acted as gay as they wanted and no one cared, they even joined in. Same sex couples we freaking and slow dancing, it was great. And Drag King and Queen was good. Oh my god, so many of these young, just hitting puberty boys, I scared the hell out of one by calling him 'exceptionally pretty', well he was, he even had mascara on, he was lovely and he could have passed as long as he didn't speak.
I played Janet (again, will I never be Mark?) for Sweet Transvestite, because Anthea was DJing she couldn't play Frankie so Julie had to - may I take a moment to express 'hot damn!'. I've never been attrated to her, and I don't think I am now but she - let's just say she has a great sense of rythem and excellent control of her body. And she was wearing a skimpy outfit as a 'drag queen'. It was a shock to be happily jamming out to a song, my eyes half closed, and then look up to see Julie come strutting across our little circle and into my arms. She didn't stop when she reached me either, she backed me up a good six feet until I cried "Whoa, honey!" I don't think I've ever had a woman rub herself against me rythmicly before, especially not my lab partner (ok, I probably have but not someone who I wasn't close friends with or who I disliked who was picking on me). It actually wasn't that bad, I just wish I had looked up sooner and prepped for it.
I slow danced with Anthea, not that rocking crap but my version of dancing, lots of twirling and stepping on toes. I'm getting better though, I think.
Hmm, anything else from last night. Ellie showed up for the second half which was good, she dragged me out onto the dance floor along with Gavin a few times. I'm glad she came, not just because she's my friend and I enjoy her company but because Gavin was looking a little awkward and it was good to have someone he knows there.
I think that's all I have to say about last night . . . Yeah I think that's it.
