Oct. 18th, 2005 08:51 pmI finished the CD today (the one I've been working on in my lessons) I got the last two songs in one take each. Since we finished so early we're doing a second one that's all jazz, yay! Hopefully that will be good. Today was pretty blah, went to class. Shakespeare was pretty good, we're doing a family tree for Richard III since all the family references were throwing us off. Art was nice, not because of the work though (we're working with copper and my piece just isn’t' coming out right) but because David D. (the youngest in a line of three children all of which have gone to Steller and all of which I know) sat by me. Usually I sit alone, not because no one likes me but because I use a lot of space and I go into my head when I do art so I don't talk to anyone, but David did and while we scratched at the copper he kept up a fairly constant commentary on hi life and interests. Randomness about how he and three friends (they're all 7th graders) are into medieval weaponry and fighting and how they have actually forged weapons and made shields and how they spar together. He wanted to know if I'd like him to make me something, I asked for something fun and ended up narrowing that down to a dagger, since swords take forever to make. Matt C. thinks he has a crush on me but I just think it's because we agree that weapons are cool, but what do I know, I'm just a gi-rl.
I went to Brian's house, met his family and two of his four pets. Before I went my Mom told me to behave myself, I wonder how she'd have felt if I told her it was my idea to go there. I got a little tired of sitting in my car. I didn't stay very long since I had my lesson but I like his house, it's small but cheery and his family (from what little contact I had with them) seem nice and not at all uncomfortable with the fact that he had a girl in his room or the fact that as a gift I'd given him a print of a bed I'd made in art (it came out really nicely, I made one in his favorite colors and gave it to him instead of flowers on opening night). His cat liked me and I got to see his family's collection of swords. Sadly he didn't bite me but we did listen to music and he gave me a back rub (I'd given one to Rebecca B. earlier and it seemed an excellent idea to me). I better get to work, I'm so far behind it could be very bad. Fuzz ~J
